Benefits of an IT Maintenance Contract

Your business IT and business infrastructure are key to the performance of your business. If your business technology lets you down, it can cost your company both time and money.
Ad Hoc IT Support
If your business PCs are no longer performing at their optimal levels or you are experiencing issues, then you will need to get in touch with your IT partner. If you don’t have an IT maintenance contract in place, then all IT support will be on an ad hoc basis.
There are two reasons why ad hoc IT Support may not be an ideal solution for your business.
Cash Flow – unfortunately if your IT issue is a complex issue or major failure, then an unexpected invoice will have an impact on your cash flow, unexpected bills are never good.
Response Time – most IT support companies will offer a quicker response time for their clients that are on an IT maintenance contract. Also, if they offer a good level of IT support and knowledge then they will have more clients that they support, which may mean that they are unable to attend the same day even if you experience a business critical IT issue.
IT Maintenance Contracts
Reasons why an IT contract may be best for your business.
Cash Flow – you will have a regular monthly payment that covers all IT labour costs, this obviously will help your cash flow as you can budget for these expenses. The only additional invoices you will receive is for hardware or software that you require.
Response Time – an IT maintenance contract will have a guaranteed response time, especially for business critical IT issues. Obviously the sooner your business PCs are up and running again, then the sooner you can effectively run your business.
Proactive Support – With an IT maintenance contract, your IT partner should install performance tracking software on your PCs and servers. This allows them to be notified if there are issues with your IT infrastructure, and in some cases, they will be aware of issues before you are. Allowing them to resolve any issues quickly and before they escalate into major issues.
Loan Equipment – some maintenance contracts also offer an equipment loan service, allowing you to get back up and running while you are waiting for new hardware to replace or resolve IT issues.
Liaison with Third Partner Software Providers – All businesses have different software solutions that they use, but sometimes, issues occur. Unless you are quite proficient with navigating software set up, then even the simplest of set ups can be daunting, so having the support of an IT expert on hand to manage the process can save you valuable time.
Preventative Maintenance – over time your business PCs can become slower due to programs that are no longer required or old updates that have not been removed. Having an annual service ensures that they are all working at optimum levels.
These are just some of the benefits that we offer with our IT maintenance contracts.
All of our contracts are bespoke to each company, taking into account the quantity of your business PCs, whether you have a server and also the age of your IT infrastructure.
