JR Press Case Study

JR Press Ltd are Daventry-based manufacturers of printed food service papers. They supply branded greaseproof paper across the hospitality sector to small restaurants, and large fast-food chains alike.

They pride themselves on being a business that cares about service, quality, and the environmental impact of the packaging industry. As such, all their products are materials are eco-friendly and compostable.

Supporting a growing business

Keba Computer Services and JR Press Ltd have worked with each other for nine years. Support was needed with IT security as well as some advice needed on the technology that they use from day to day.

They started with five PCs and over the course of their relationship with Keba, they have grown to twenty. JR Press Ltd have also moved factories twice in that time. Keba were on hand to help and advice with everything from cyber security, internal servers, and an external cloud-based backup.

Installing an On-Site Server

When JR Press had only 5 PCs, they hosted a third-party Print Industry specific CRM to handle quotes and invoices. This was shared on one computer for the other users to access. As they grew, they took the decision to host the CRM on an on-site server as the software provider didn’t offer a hosted version and the ongoing hosting costs were prohibitive for the number of users

Migration to Office 365

Working with Keba Computer Services, JR Press Ltd moved from using desktop-based Microsoft Software packages to Microsoft Office 365. This not only improved the system JR Press Ltd were using, but also allowed Keba Computer Services to offer a better service.

The new system allowed for preventative maintenance and trouble shooting. Being able to access Office 365 online remotely was a great help during lockdown when preparing for their team to work from home.
